Emoji copy and paste FAQ

How do I copy and paste an emoji?
Choose any Copy button on this page. The emoji is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into a message, bio, caption, comment, or document.
Can I search by emoji meaning or shortcode?
Yes. Search checks the emoji name, related search terms, shortcodes, and the emoji character itself. Use a category when you want to browse instead.
Can I copy a whole emoji category or share it?
Choose a category, then use Copy results to copy every matching emoji, separated by spaces, including results not yet shown. Search and Show variants narrow or expand that list. Share the page address to open the category with an empty search and the default base emojis; search text and variants are not included in the link. Bulk copies are not added to Recently copied.
How do I find skin tone variants?
Turn on Show variants to include available variants in the results. You can also open an emoji detail view to copy the listed skin tone options for that emoji.
Why can the same emoji look different on another device?
Emoji are Unicode characters, but Apple, Google, Microsoft, and other platforms draw them in their own visual style. The character can stay the same while its appearance changes.
